Gulf Coast Film & Video Festival

THE INTRUDER’s film festival run began with the 26th annual Gulf Coast Film & Video Festival, about a 3 minute drive from where the film was shot. In fact, the hotel that hosts the festival is even visible in one shot of the film.

The film won the award for Best Feature - Drama. This was the first of three festivals we attended in a span of three days. Gulf Coast awards dinner on Friday, Flatland screening / Q&A / awards on Saturday, and Dreamscape awards ceremony on Sunday. We would go on to win three more awards over the rest of the weekend.
